Laptop overheating fix. Laptop overheating solutions. How to fix overheating laptop? How to stop the laptop from overheating?
Now we will try to get solutions for the above problems one by one in an order and learn to fix laptop overheating.
- The Hot environment where the laptop is being operated:- Always try to work in the cool environment so that your laptop doesn’t overheat. Avoid placing your laptop on the hot/heated surfaces. Operate laptop in the cool environment. Try to make your laptop environment air-conditioned or cool area to allow your system to cool down and prevent it from overheating.
- Laptop fans covers are being blocked by surface or dust:- The most important thing you need to do when your laptop is overheating is to clean the fan(s) that cools the CPU and graphics card. As time passes CPU and graphics card build up layers of dust and dirt that slow them down and block airflow. So clean the fans and make sure that air can easily flow in and out from the laptop. You can open the laptop and clean laptop and make your laptop dust free.
- Air is not able to flow in and out from the laptops:- It is important that your laptop should be open to the external environment, I mean laptop inner air should flow in and out from/to the environment so that your laptop can be at low temperature.
- Software errors, too may software running in the background. Too many startup software enabled: Some software which uses high CPU can make your laptop heated so make sure that useless software's are not installed on your laptop. If some software is useful and you don’t want to uninstall it then make sure that that software is not running automatically in the background, so it is better to disable it to run on startup. You can disable startup software/App by opening "Task Manager" then "Startup" tab then choose the software/App you want to disable/enable and from right bottom click to disable/enable the required software/App.
- Problem with the compatibility of the operating system (OS), Windows 10 with the laptop you are using: Generally we all know that every system/laptop has its own limitations. Your laptop cannot run well on all operating system (OS). I will talk here about Windows 10. Your laptop may not support well for all Windows 10 versions. So make sure that you use only that version of the Windows 10 which supports your laptop. Windows 10 got installed on your laptop doesn’t mean that it can run well on your laptop. Sometimes some versions of Windows 10 can cause overheating to your laptop and shut down automatically and may damage your laptop permanently. If laptop shuts automatically then your unsaved tasks may be destroyed and cannot be recovered back. So make sure that not to use that version of Windows 10 which shuts your laptop automatically and overheats your laptop.
If your laptop was running well before updating to the newer version of Windows 10 then it's time to switch back to old version/previous build of Windows 10 version.
