Alert yourself, Your mobile account balance may be stolen. Mobile users be careful.

In the current advanced age of technology normally we all use mobile phones. Life without mobile phones is quite tough. And we choose that mobile network which is more beneficial for ourselves. We try to reduce cellphone bill as much as we can. We try to search different tariff plans which are suitable for us.

Yes, we always tend to reduce our phone bill so that we could save some money.

But have you ever thought that your mobile balance may be stolen by the same network provider which you are using?

Yes, it is true that network operators may deduct some amount from your mobile balance for no reason. I mean to say is that you will be charged without using any services provided by the network operator.

Let's calculate something.
There are millions/billions of users of the particular network. No of the user may depend on country population and dominance of that network operator.

Let us take an example.
Suppose, network operator deducts 99 Paisa from every user in a week and number of the user is 10,000,000.

Then amount deducted will be 10,000,000 × 0.99 = 9,900,000 in a week

9,900,000 × 52 =  514,800,000 in a year
514,800,000/12 = 42,900,000 in a month

  1. Do we check the mobile balance before using any of the services?
  2. Do we check mobile balance after using any of the services?
  3. Do we tally the amount deducted with the amount to be charged for using the service?

The answer to all above services may be "NO" for most people. Even I say " NO".

What may be the reasons behind answer "NO".
Answer is "NO" because;-

  • we don't want to take the burden to tally balances each time
  • we don't have sufficient time to do so
  • who take cares of some low amount of money.

And this is the fact that mobile network operators deduct some amount of balance from your account. If we check balance then we remember the amount of rupee and we generally ignore amount in paisa i.e. amount after the decimal. Suppose our balance 48.85 then we will remember that our balance is 48 and think if 0.70 is deducted from your account for no reason and final balance is 48.15. And after some time, you may check again and you will see balance is 48.15 and you will think its ok it's 48. And it is human behavior that we normally don’t care about digit after the decimal place.

Conclusion:- It's normally tough to tally mobile balance each time after using certain services but we always have to be alert that our balance is not deducted without using services. Sometimes you may find your balance may be deducted with some more amount and in such cases just contact customer care.
