Punishment with fine not
exceeding twenty thousand rupees
Except in
matters contained in Sections 160 and 161, the Court may impose a fine of five
thousand rupees to twenty thousand rupees on any company or every concerned
director, managing director, manger, company secretary or employee of the
company who fails to perform any act which he/she is required to perform under
this Act or commits any act prohibited by this Act, or fails to perform his/her
duty, or performs even any permissible act upon the expiry of the time-limit or
without following the procedures, or fails to give such information to the
Office as required to be given, or fails to submit such returns to the Office
as required to be submitted.
