Introduction
  • a Digital Payment Portal which allows you to make online and offline payments to various merchants, transfer funds to various banks and many more

  • you can top-up your mobile, pay postpaid, landline and ADSL bills, buy bus tickets, airlines tickets and movie tickets, transfer money from one bank to another.

  • registration is absolutely free

  • Nepalese citizen above 16 years of age can register with eSewa account via mobile or internet

  • you will not be charged for any payments made to the merchants

  • fund-transfer to banks, etc may incur charges depending on the policies adopted by eSewa

Registration Process
  • web registration:- please visit eSewa Portal https://www.esewa.com.np and fill the registration form and complete the activation procedure as instructed
  • Mobile registration:- please type "REG" and SMS it to 2121 from your NT or Ncell mobile
  • SMS sent to 2121(eSewa) from Nepal Telecom mobile is free but from Ncell mobile its Rs. 0.50 per SMS.

  • You can verify yourself by updating your eSewa profile with required documents
  • Login to https://www.esewa.com.np, click on my profile and fill the details, provide the valid documents required and request for verification
  • Your details will be validated and approved by us to ensure the completion of your verification process. 
    Or 
    Visit your nearest eSewa Zone with the identification verification documents.
  • documents required to become a verified user of eSewa
    - Your citizenship card (scanned or photocopy).
    - Your passport size photo (scanned copy or original).
  • verified user, enjoy following benefits:
    - allowed to hold more than Rs. 9999 on their eSewa wallet.
    - can receive money through remittance like western union.
    - can withdraw the amount from eSewa to desired bank account among partner banks of eSewa.
    If you are an unverified user, your account will be blocked if your account has Rs.10, 000 or more amount. And you can't enjoy the benefits mentioned above.

  • Ways to load/prefund your eSewa account.
    Internet Banking: transfer funds to your eSewa wallet using internet banking of eSewa partner banks. For this, you will need to have an Internet Banking enabled account with one of eSewa partner banks.

    Mobile Banking: If you have mobile banking enabled account with one of our partner banks then you can prefund your eSewa account using mobile banking.

Making Payments
  • you can make payments to various eCommerce websites through eSewa
  • you can make payments to the merchants with "fonepay accepted" stickers in their store through your eSewa account using mobile application of eSewa.

Fund Transfer
  • you can transfer fund to another registered eSewa user.
  • You can withdraw money from your eSewa account to a bank account by clicking withdraw option from your mobile app or after logging on to eSewa web portal.
